Even though I haven't been running regularly in about six months, I think I put up a valiant effort for my second ever Jingle Bell Run (the first was at peak physical conditioning when I was beasting it at running) at 27:15. Even though I feel like I can't go any faster than my pace in a 5k, I am passed more than I actually pass people. But it was great being around runners and in the atmosphere. I saw a bunch of people I knew, and Ryan ran it as well, with Fumi providing moral support. I definitely felt like barfing afterwards, and chili just never sounds good after a run. Hopefully this will get me jazzed to start training for longer races, since I'm probably better suited at the slower paces!
